WaterRoads Pty Ltd builds Urban Pathways, a corridor-screening engine covering surface transit — bus, BRT, trackless tram — and ferry corridors on one comparable, five-factor basis. The method is calibrated market by market rather than rebuilt from scratch each time, so that experience gained in one deployment strengthens the method for the next.

WaterRoads’ position is deliberately narrow and upstream: we build the layer that tells a transit authority, operator, financier or consultancy where to point its existing planning and modelling effort next. We do not build network-design, scheduling or traffic-simulation software, and we are not a substitute for detailed four-step or activity-based transport modelling. Restraint about what the method can and cannot claim — visible confidence tiers, no predictive overclaiming — is a deliberate feature of how WaterRoads operates, not a caveat added after the fact.
